SHOULDER REPLACEMENT SYSTEM – SALVAGE |
Salvage
Humeral Stem
The Buechel-Pappas™
Modular Salvage Shoulder is used in the absence of a rotator
cuff as well as where the proximal humerus is insufficient
to support a standard angled humeral prosthesis. Clinically
proven bi-polar acetabular components with more than 20 years
of clinical development and use provide the articulation between
the humerus and glenoid.
Salvage
Humeral Components
- Four
modular, humeral stem sizes provide numerous combinations
for on the table "customs".
- Ceramic
UltraCoat® coating on the Self-Aligning Acetabular Components
and Femoral Head reduces joint friction and both plastic
and metallic wear debris.
- Proximal
BioCoat® porous coating provides enhanced fixation.
- Femoral
Head sizes - 28 and 32mm in neck
- Femoral
Head offsets in five sizes lengths of STD to 20mm, in 5mm
increments to provide for proper tissue tensioning.
- Bi-Polar
sizes of 42 to 58mm in one millimeter increments
- Stem
modularity provide numerous combinations for on the table
"customs". In cases such as osteoporosis or erosive
osteolysis, where the canal diameter to proximal humeral
relationship is greater or smaller than normal. Other cases
may require a longer stem length to bypass a defect in the
humeral shaft. In such cases, the modular elements of the
system may be combined to provide an optimal proximal and
distal fit.
